Overview

In these standards of ISO 10242 the interchangeability dimensions and tolerances of punch holder shanks for use in press tools is specified. Standard DIN ISO 10242-1 applies for punch holder shanks, type A. In addition to the dimensions for various size classes of punch holder shanks, the DIN ISO standards give information on the materials and their hardness as well as on the standard designation of the components. The standards each contain the German version of the International standard which has been prepared by ISO/TC 29/SC 8 "Tools for pressing and moulding" within Working Group 2 "Tools for pressing". The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 121-03-02 AA "Werkzeuge der Stanztechnik" ("Tools for pressing") of FWS.
