This standard specifies the interchangeability dimensions and tolerances of punch hold shanks used in tools for pressing. The standard applies to Form D punch holder shanks. Along with dimensions of different size classes of punch holder shanks, the DIN-ISO standard gives information about the choice of materials and their hardness as well as standard designations of the components. This standard contains the German version of the international standard which has been prepared by ISO/TC 29/SC 8 "Tools for pressing and moulding", Working Group 2 "Tools for pressing". The responsible German Mirror Committee is Working Committee NA 121-03-02 AA "Werkzeuge der Stanztechnik" ("Tools for pressing") at FWS.
