DIN ISO 10844:2024-11

This document contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 10844:2021, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 43 "Acoustics", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). This document specifies the essential characteristics of a test track surface intended to be used for measuring rolling sound emission of vehicles and their tyres. The surface design given in this document - produces consistent levels of tyre or road sound emission under a wide range of operating conditions including those appropriate to vehicle sound testing, - minimizes inter-site variation, - limits absorption of the vehicle sound sources, and - is consistent with road-building practice. The text of ISO 10844:2021 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 43 "Acoustics" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The responsible German committee is NA 001-01-05 AA "Geräuschemissionsmessungen an Fahrzeugen einschließlich Messungen im Fahrgastraum und am Arbeitsplatz" ("Measurement of noise emission from road vehicles including measurements in passenger accommodations and workplaces") at DIN/VDI Standards Committee for Acoustics, Noise Reduction, and Vibration Technology (NALS).
