DIN ISO 11009:2024-07

This document specifies a method for evaluating the resistance of a lubricating grease to washout by water from a bearing, when tested at 38 °C or 79 °C under specified laboratory test conditions. The test is not equivalent to other field tests under operating conditions. This document contains the English translation of the International Standard ISO 11009:2021, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 28 "Petroleum and related products, fuels and lubricants from natural or synthetic sources", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-06-52 AA "Schmierfette: Anforderungen und Prüfung" ("Lubricating greases: requirements and testing") at Technical Committee "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" ("Standardization of mineral oils and combustible materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
