The ISO 14132 series of standards specifies the terms and definitions for telescopes and magnifiers. While ISO 14132-1 specifies the basic terms and contains an index valid for all parts, ISO 14132-4 applies exclusively to astronomical telescopes. The committee responsible for preparation of DIN ISO 14132-4 is Working Committee NA 027-01-10 AA "Fernrohre und Vergrößerungsgläser" ("Telescopic systems") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO).
