This document specifies a general laboratory test method for measuring perceived air quality, which is used to evaluate the performance of air filters for gaseous pollutants. Perceived air quality is assessed by a panel of testers. This method applies to gaseous air filters and can be performed in laboratories. Only gaseous pollutants that can be perceived by humans are considered. This document is based on the sensory test methods specified in ISO 16000-28 and ISO 16000-30. This standard is intended for anyone involved in the manufacture of air filters for the removal of gaseous indoor pollutants and the testing of the performance and application of such air filters. This standard deals in particular with aspects of environmental protection and quality assurance in the field of air pollution control. The committee NA 134-04-04-17 UA "Spiegelgremium zu ISO/TC 146/SC 6/WG 25" ("Mirror committee to ISO/TC 146/SC 6/WG 25") at DIN is responsible for this standard.
