DIN ISO 2137:2025-07

This document specifies several methods for the empirical estimation of the consistency of lubricating greases and petrolatum by measuring the penetration of a standardized cone. This document contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 2137:2020, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 28 "Petroleum and related products, fuels and lubricants from natural or synthetic sources", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible national standards committee is Working Committee NA 062-06-52 AA "Schmierfette: Anforderungen und Prüfung" ("Lubricating greases: requirements and testing") at Technical Committee "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" ("Standardization of mineral oils and combustible materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
