This standard specifies an ultrasonic testing method for determining bond defects between the bearing metal and the backing. The underlying standard ISO 4386-1 has been prepared by ISO/TC 123 "Plain bearings". Working Committee NA 118-02-01 AA "Terminologie" ("Terminology") at the DIN Standards Committee Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings (NAWGL) is responsible regarding the German collaboration and this translation.
