Overview

This standard specifies a method for determining or testing the grain size of diamond or cubic boron nitride as used in the manufacture of industrial products such as grinding wheels and saws (cut-off wheels). It also describes the grain size designations, the size limits, the sieves for use in determining them and the procedure to be adopted for checking the grain size exclusive of any coating. It is an adoption of ISO 6106:2013 and replaces DIN ISO 6106 from the year 2006.
