DIN ISO 68-1:2024-09

This document specifies the basic and design profiles for ISO general purpose metric screw threads (M). This document is applicable to the metric fastening screw threads. This document contains the English translation of the International Standard ISO 68-1:2023, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 1 "Screw threads", the secretariat of which is held by SAC (China). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 152-02-01 AA "Screw threads" at DIN Standards Committee Technical Fundamentals (NATG), in collaboration with Working Committee NA 067-00-01 AA "Reference standards and quality management" at DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV). This document provides fundamental specifications for basic and design profiles for ISO general purpose metric screw threads (M), while DIN 13-19 contains further details on design profiles for calculating nominal sizes according to DIN 13-1 to DIN 13-11 and for calculating limits of sizes according to DIN 13-20 to DIN 13-26.
