This document specifies a test method for determining the compressive strength of a sample fixed into an S-shape in the machine direction. This document is applicable to papers with a grammage of 80 g/m2 to 220 g/m2; different grammages can lead to unreliable results. This document contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 7763:2024, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 6 "Paper, board and pulps", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 074-02-03 AA "Physikalisch-technische Prüfverfahren für Papier und Pappe" ("Physical-technological test methods for paper and board") at DIN Standards Committee Paper, board and pulps (NPa).
