This standard specifies the dimensions, mechanical properties, mounting and fastening characteristics of screws used for mounting ski bindings on cross-country skis. The purpose of this standard is to facilitate the design of a more rational and safer binding mounting system. With regard to DIN ISO 7794:1992-04, 5.2 "Materials" has been added and in 5.3.2, the requirements for the thread and tip configuration have been revised and the drawing of the screw has been adopted from DIN ISO 10228. The International Standard ISO/DIS 7794:2010 has been prepared by ISO/TC 83/SC 4 "Snowsports equipment". The responsible national committee is Working Committee NA 112-03-01 AA "Ski- und Snowboardsportgeräte" ("Ski and snowboard sports equipment") of the Sports Equipment Standards Committee (NASport) at DIN.
This document replaces DIN ISO 7794:1992-04 .
