This test standard defines the requirements for fuse-links for road vehicles and describes the associated tests. It applies to all fuse-links which are specified in the ISO 8820 package of standards. It is not applicable to fuse holders. Meeting this standard ensures safe functioning of all fuse-links installed in the road vehicle and compliance with the requirements during use of the road vehicles. Therewith, safe functioning of electrical and electronic equipment of the road vehicle is ensured. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 052-01-03-05 AK "Sicherungen" ("Fuses") at DIN.
