Overview
The standard contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 9183-2, which has been prepared by ISO/TC 29 "Small tools", Subcommittee SC 8 "Tools for pressing and moulding". The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 121-03-02 AA "Werkzeuge der Stanztechnik" ("Tools for pressing") of the Tools and Clamping Devices Standards Committee (FWS). DIN ISO 9183 consists of the following parts under the general title "Tools for pressing - Wear plates for press dies": - Part 1: Type A - Part 2: Type B This part of ISO 9183 specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of wear plates, type B, intended for use mainly in large presses. It also specifies the size and positions of the clearance holes for attachment. It gives guidance on the materials and hardness, and specifies the designation of wear plates for press dies, type B, which meet the requirements of this part of ISO 9183.
