This part of ISO 93 specifies the main dimensions of cylindrical sliver cans used in the textile industry. With respect to the 2016 edition DIN ISO 93-1+Amd.1:2015 took into account the current types and dimensions for cylindrical sliver cans which are used in practice have been taken into account. A can diameter of 470 mm and a can height of 1 070 mm have been additionally included. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 106-02-10 AA "Spulerei, Spinnereimaschinen und Nonwoven; SpA zu ISO/TC 72/SC 1 und ISO/TC 72/SC 3" ("Spinning and winding machinery and nonwoven; Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 72/SC 1 and ISO/TC 72/SC 3") at DIN.
