Overview
DIN ISO/IEC 28360 specifies methods and test procedures for determining the chemical emission rates of office equipment used in information and communication technology. The standard defines methods for devices that require consumables, such as printers, and those that do not, such as monitors. The standard takes into account the fact that people are usually exposed to emissions during operation by testing the devices under operating conditions and not under storage conditions in an emission test chamber. DIN ISO/IEC 28360 thus contributes to reducing health risks at office workplaces.
