Overview

Connecting bolts according to this standard are used preferably for overhead electrical lines and switchgears and controlgears with nominal system voltages exceeding AC 1 kV and DC 1,5 kV. The standard differs from DIN 48073:1975-02 as follows: a) Table 1: - extension to include connecting bolts 16; - lengths "l" adapted; - split pin standard updated; - connecting bolts of type N deleted without replacement; thus marking S could also be omitted. b) strength class 5.6 has been deleted. The responsible committee is DKE/K 421 "Freileitungen" ("Overhead lines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
