DIN VDE 0603-3-2:2017-12

This standard appears as Part 3-2 of the DIN VDE 0603 series of standards and shall be applied in conjunction with DIN VDE 0603-1. This standard describes devices for mounting and connection (BKE) for pluggable electronic domestic meters (eHZ) with a specified contact arrangement, a rated voltage not exceeding AC 400 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A for use in meter panels according to DIN VDE 0603 or comparable systems. This standard describes the use of devices for mounting and connection (BKE) indoors and outdoors. The devices for mounting and connection are used for uninterrupted meter replacement. It is not suitable for switching the downstream customer system on or off under load. The devices for mounting and connection are available as integrated and adaptable versions. The devices for mounting and connection in adapter design are intended for retrofitting meter panels according to the DIN 43870 series and meter panels according to DIN 43853. The devices for mounting and connection in adapter design are also intended for older-style meter panels, provided that these have been approved for the installation and operation of meters to date. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 543.1 "Installationskleinverteiler und Zählerplätze" ("Consumer distribution boards and meter panels") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
