Overview
This standard describes fuses for use by unskilled persons, which shall fulfil the requirements of following fuse systems and all subclauses of IEC 60269-1 as well as the requirements laid down in the relevant fuse systems. This standard differs from DIN VDE 0636-3 (VDE 0636-3):2011-09 as follows: a) Introduction of the new rated current of 32 A and description of the electrical data and mechanical dimensions. b) Description of a new test method for the retention force of the screw caps and specification of the required test specimens. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 541.1 "Sicherungen und Schalter-Sicherungseinheiten" ("Fuses and fuse-combination units") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
