This standard has been prepared by NA 002-00-14 AA "Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen für Luft- und Raumfahrt" ("Coatings and coating materials for aerospace") of the Coatings and Coating Materials Standards Committee (NAB), in collaboration with NA 131-02-04 AA "Oberflächenschutz" ("Surface protection") of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL). The code numbers given in the standards LN 9368-1 to LN 9368-7 shall be used as a designation of surface treatments for the field of aerospace. These code numbers are intended to replace the very extensive annotations previously used on drawings and design documents.
