This standard has been prepared by standards committee NA 140-00-22 AA "Technische Dokumente und Maschinenelemente" ("Technical documentation and machine elements (NABw TD/Ma)") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard is a product standard for drawbar eyes. The standard specifies requirements for drawbar eye for trailers which are used in the entire Bundeswehr area. In this standard NATO document STANAG 4101 is considered. The drawbar eye is a component subject to approval by the Bundeswehr (Zentrale Militärkraftfahrtstelle ZMK). For the delivery of this supply item only manufacturers are eligible who are capable of providing a valid model expertise for their product, together with the associated test mark. Drawbar eyes according to this standard are designed for a D-value of at most 120 kN and a static vertical load of 1 000 kg.
