This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-05-03 AA "Kennzeichnungen" ("Marking") and published as coloured version. The specified signs and markings as Supplement 1 of this standard in combination with the specified dimensions in Clause 6 have been published as coloured manuscript. This document is applicable to safety markings on board vessels of the German Bundeswehr. The application of safety markings for new building, reconstruction, modification and operating of vessels is determinated in regulations. This document does not apply for marking required for placing on the market and carriage of dangerous goods. Signs and markings for damage control are specified in VG 81226-3 and signs for medical equipment are specified in VG 81226-6.
