Overview

Standard series VG 85009 specifies identification colours for marking pipelines for media onboard watercraft and shore facilities of the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces), the method of fixing this marking on the lines and the marking of pipelines for media in plans and technical documents. Part 3 specifies requirements for the colour marking in plans and other technical documents. This standard series does not apply to ships and marine technology for civil use. DIN ISO 14726 applies for the marking of pipelines onboard ships and marine structures for civil use. The identification colours specified in DIN ISO 14726 for the content of pipeline systems differ from the colour codes specified in this standard. Standard series VG 85009 has been revised to adjust it to the changes of the use of markings and the use of media onboard of watercraft and shore facilities of the German Armed Forces. The marking of pipelines for media serves for onboard security and health and safety. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 132-05-03 AA "Kennzeichnungen" ("Markings") at DIN.
