The VG standard documents swivel shackles made of magnetizable steel which are primarily used on vessels. The document specifies the designation, dimensions, masses, materials as well as the requirements and designs indicating the mechanical properties for magnetizable swivel shackles with nominal sizes of 0,6 to 3 and the Types A or B. Swivel shackles according to this standard require approval according to VG 95211.
