Overview

For the drinking water supply on vessels, hose assemblies DN 65 are used exclusively with left-handed threads (left-handed threads with thread form in accordance with Whitworth pipe thread (W), with a nominal diameter of 82 mm and a pitch of six threads per 25,4 mm). VG 85280 documents the thread (nominal diameter of 82 mm) with information such as threads, pitch, thread depth and rounding. For bolts and nuts, the outside diameters, core diameters as well as pitch diameters including the flank clearances were indicated. Also the tolerances for bolts and nuts were determined and specified. This VG standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-02-07 AA "Betankungs- und Pipelineschläuche" ("Tubes for refuelling and pipelines").
