VG 85493, Replenishment at sea - Equipment parts - Technical Specification, text in German and English specifies the requirements and tests for equipment parts used in replenishment methods for the replenishment of vessels at sea. All equipment parts which transfer forces and are thus accordingly exposed to static and/or dynamic loads shall be tested by a recognized classification society in accordance with its Guidelines for the Construction and Survey of Lifting Appliances. In Table 1 "Technical requirements and tests", scope of delivery, material, technical requirements, function, technical safety and tests are defined or specified. For quality assurance, the quality tests, government quality assurance as well as the government quality assurance inspection are described. This VG standard has been prepared in NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring").
