Spout floats for stern-bow method in accordance with VG 85488 are used on vessels for the purpose of safe replenishment at sea. The VG standard describes, amongst others, the production documents in accordance with the set of drawings from the Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung (BWB) (German Federal Office for Defence Technology and Procurement), materials, tests and the Technical Specifications. This VG standard has been prepared in NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring").
