Overview

Pendants are compulsory for safe replenishment at sea. Pendants in accordance with this standard are used in the span-wire method, the close-in method, as hose-securing pendants or hose pendants in the large-derrick procedure and stern-bow method in accordance with VG 85488 on vessels. The VG standard describes dimensions, loads (permitted tensile and test force), materials, tests and Technical Specifications for pendants. In a compilation, types A to C are listed in detail and are completed with a parts list. This VG standard has been prepared in NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring").
