Overview

The two-part earthing inserts according to VG 88812 serve in conjunction with the metal glands according to VG 88773 for all-round contacting of the braided shield of shielded electrical cables. They are primarily used in the defence sector, for example in the electrical installations of vessels of the German Navy. The aim is to have the lowest possible impedance connection between the cable shield and the reference potential at the point of cable entry.
