This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Commitee NA 132-03-52 AA "Installationsmaterial" ("Installation material"). This document is applicable in conjunction with DIN EN 62444 (VDE 0619) for the design and construction of cable glands. It specifies requirements and tests for cable glands with regard to the required properties. Normative Annex A defines the measurements of the coupling impedance. This document applies to complete cable glands as supplied by the manufacturer or supplier. It is applicable to cable glands with metric connecting threads. This document does not apply to: - cable glands for mineral-insulated cables and conductors; - cable glands for explosive areas; - cable glands, which have been declared according to DIN EN 62444 (VDE 0619):2014-05, 6.2.2.
