The presented standard is a generic specification for tools for electrical components. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-14-07 UA "Crimpwerkzeuge" ("Crimping tools") at the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard applies in conjunction with the standards of the series VG 95236. It contains information relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, that is properties and provisions that apply to the tools indicated as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etcetera. The purpose of this standard is to specify general requirements and provisions for tools of the VG 95236 series.
