Overview

This standard is a product standard for circuit breakers. This standard is applicable in conjunction with VG 95345-2 for residual current operated circuit breakers (RCDs) type B according to DIN EN 62423 (VDE 0664-40) with a rated current of 40 A to 125 A, 4-pole, and with galvanic disconnection. Components in accordance with this standard may be used at ambient temperatures from -35 °C to 50 °C. Components according to this standard are subject to type test according to VG 95211. RCDs are suitable for installation in distribution systems (such as distribution boards for construction sites or power generators) and are used in power installations. Components conforming to this standard are subject to approval in accordance with VG 95211. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 140-00-08 AA "Schutzschalter" ("Circuit breakers") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE).
