This standard is a product standard for plug-and-socket devices. The responsible committee for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). Parts according to this standard are tested and used in connection with connectors according to VG 96513-4. The designations have been specified for the contacts and modules in order to enable additional order and storage of crimp contacts and modules. Contacts, contact inserts and sealing plugs according to this standard are subject to approval according to VG 95211.
