This standard is valid in conjunction with the basic section standard VG 96915-2. This basic section standard includes the general requirements and provisions. It contains information relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions; that is, properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as, among other things, general implementing regulations, matters of liability and patent law. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 140-00-03 AA "Batterien" ("Batteries") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN.
