Overview

This standard is a product standard for connectors. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard is valid for pressure-water-tight electrical connectors in accordance with DIN EN 60309-1 (VDE 0623-1) with bayonet coupling and crimp contact and leading protective contact electrical connected with the shell and pilot contact in connection with the respective standards of the same VG-number (consecutive parts) and contains the requirements and tests which are the same for these connectors. Contacts and contact inserts according to this standard are subject to qualification approval according to VG 95211.
