This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 140-00-03 AA "Batterien" ("Batteries") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). The standard provides a summary of sealed lead-acid batteries and accessories, which are issued in detail specifications of the series VG 96924. VG 96924-2 and the detail specifications listed in the Tables 1 and 2 shall apply for all deliveries. The battery types approved for new equipment development and the manufacturers thereof are listed in VG 95212.
