Overview

This standard is a detail standard for heavy load relays. The standard is applicable in conjunction with VG 96928-2 for 50 A heavy load relays designed for vehicle electrical system voltages up to 24 V DC as in VG 96916-5 and 28 V DC in accordance with MIL-STD-1275D. Relays conforming to this standard are suitable for use at ambient temperatures ranging from -55 °C to 85 °C. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-16 AA "Relais" ("Electromagnetic relays") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). Relays conforming to this standard are subject to approval in accordance with VG 95211.
