This standard is a product standard for connectors. The responsible committee for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") of DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard is valid in connection with VG 95319-2 and VG 96944-1 to VG 96944-5 for screened, pressure water-tight circular electrical connectors. Connectors according to this standard are subject to type testing according to VG 95211. Connectors according to this standard can be used at ambient temperatures from -65 °C to 150 °C, whereby the reduction due to the contact load capacity according to VG 96944-1:2017-06, 4.2 shall be observed.
