This standard applies in connection with VG 96958-1 and VG 96958-2 for connectors, 7 poles, with crimp contacts without protective contact and without protection against electric-shock hazard with rated voltage of up to 24 V maximum. Connectors to this standard can be used at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 85 °C. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. The connectors to this standard are subject to qualification testing according to VG 95211.
