Short description

This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to openings, closures, and closure elements of pressure vessels. It specifies the requirements for the type and dimensions of openings for cleaning, inspection, and maintenance, as well as for conducting tests. Requirements regarding the number and location of openings are contained in Appendix 1 to this AD 2000-Merkblatt. Furthermore, the requirements for closures and closure elements are specified. To the extent that other provisions apply to specific pressure vessels, these are contained in the AD 2000-Merkbätter of the HP 801 series.
