Short description

This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to forgings (open-die or die-forged) including bar-shaped forgings and parts produced on ring rolling mills (e.g., seamless rolled rings), hot-pressed hollow sections with ends, as well as hot-rolled and extruded long products (e.g., bar stock made of unalloyed and alloyed ferritic steels for the construction of pressure vessels that are operated at operating temperatures as well as at ambient temperatures ranging from -10 °C up to the upper temperature limits specified in the technical data sheet. For operating temperatures below -10 °C, AD 2000-Merkblatt W 10 also applies. For components made of austenitic and austenitic-ferritic steels, AD 2000-Merkblatt W 2 applies. For flanges, AD 2000-Merkblatt W 9 applies. The basic requirements for the materials and the material manufacturer are specified in AD 2000-Merkblatt W 0.
