Short description

This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to bolts and nuts, as well as long steel products used in their manufacture, made from unalloyed and alloyed heat-treatable steels for the construction of pressure vessels that are operated at operating temperatures and ambient temperatures ranging from -10 °C up to the upper temperature limits specified in this Merkblatt. For operating temperatures below -10 °C, AD 2000-Merkblatt W 10 also applies, although only stress case I is to be used for bolts and nuts. For bolts and nuts made of austenitic steels, AD 2000-Merkblatt W 7/2 applies. The essential requirements for the materials and the material manufacturer are specified in AD 2000-Merkblatt W 0. They also apply to manufacturers of bolts and nuts.
