DIN SPEC 1108-4:2016-10

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 051-01-03 AA "Dienstleistungen (Spiegelgremium für CEN/TC 183/WG 1/PWG 8)" ("Services (mirror committee to CEN/TC 183/WG 1/PWG 8)" at DIN Standards Committee Municipal Services (NKT). It describes the processes of road cleaning, emptying of waste containers in public traffic areas (wastebasket emptying) and special cleaning. The areas of federal highways and state roads are excluded. The document specifies requirements for the service as well as the technical equipment with vehicles and devices required for this in terms of process optimization. The standard differs from DIN SPEC 1108-4:2009-10 as follows:
a) the title of the DIN SPEC has been changed;
b) scope of application has been revised;
c) reference in the text to Part 6 concerning sewer services has been removed;
d) description of performance and quality at sample level (4.2) has been included;
e) Table 10 "Removal of wild debris" has been revised;
f) Table 12 "Cleaning of special surfaces" has been revised;
g) Table 13 "Removing special debris" has been revised;
h) Table 14 "Removal of debris from objects/transportation structures" has been revised;
i) Table 15 "Leaf removal in autumn and winter and removal of blossoms in spring and summer" has been revised;
j) recycling and disposal of wild debris (bulky waste) and wastebasket trash has been added (4.5);
k) the document has been editorially revised;
l) a bibliography has been added.
