This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. The document has been prepared and adopted by the authors named in the foreword. This document is intended to serve as a guideline for the description of industrial systems and components in Industry 4.0 and the exchange of this description in the application environment. The document defines rules for universal interfaces for the use of the two existing standards AutomationML and OPC UA.
