This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. This DIN SPEC has been prepared and adopted by the authors named in the foreword. This DIN SPEC defines a standard for service categories and their service contents in the field of apparatus and machine assembly and maintenance for industrial process plants. The aforementioned categories and their service contents are used as a basis for the description and evaluation of service items in standard service specifications. The apparatus and machine assembly and maintenance includes service categories for assembly and disassembly in industrial plants in the field and at industrial sites. The service contents defined in this DIN SPEC do not correspond to the German Construction Tendering and Contract Regulations for Construction Work (VOB) and do not provide any formulation aids for services in the fields of structural, civil, hydraulic and traffic engineering, which are included in the Standard Performance Book for Construction (STLB-Bau) and the Standard Performance Book for Temporary Employment Contracts (STLB-BauZ).
