Overview

Pioneering new developments for calorimeters have taken place in the last decade, which has lead to enormous improvements for the determination of thermal properties in connection with metastability, kinetics, reorganization, crystallization and processing conditions. This necessitates new calibration methods. DIN SPEC describes a method for temperature calibration of Fast Scanning Calorimeters (FCS) for high to very high scan rates and low to very low sample masses, up to in the nanogram range.
