Overview

This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS method provides guidelines for the development of business models for provision of prevention services in the health sector. For this purpose, a concept is described which reflects the procedure in phases, from the brainstorming for an offer for preventative healthcare and wellness to a market-ready service offer. In addition to the description of the actual phase concept, methods which can be systematically applied in each development phase are listed in the DIN SPEC. Examples from enterprises and associations demonstrate the practical application. This DIN Specification has emerged from the research project "Entwicklung und Management hybrider Geschäftsmodelle im Gesundheits- und Wellnesswesen (lifescience.biz)" ("Development and management of hybrid business models on the health and wellness market (lifescience.biz)"). The project (Project Funding Reference Number 01FC08063) is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the framework of the "Technologie und Dienstleistungen im demografischen Wandel" ("Technology and services in demographic change") initiative.
