Overview

This document is intended to establish requirements for trustworthy AI methods in police applications. These include the technical, legal, and ethical requirements for such applications, particularly for biometric facial and voice recognition, object recognition, and text analysis, in order to demonstrate how the accuracy, traceability, and robustness of these AI methods can be developed, implemented, and improved in police work. This document will not define security levels or new ethical values. The aim is to implement and operationalize existing ethical values for trustworthy AI in police applications. This DIN SPEC has been prepared according to the PAS procedure. The development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure is carried out in DIN-SPEC-consortiums and does not require the participation of all stakeholders.
