Short description

The guideline considers dilution systems in which the dilution is carried out by mixing the aerosol with a particle-free gas (generally air) in steady-state flow process (continuous volumetric flow). The purpose of dilution systems is to reduce the concentration of an aerosol to a level suitable for the measurement range of a method of measurement, dilution usually being carried out by mixing the aerosol with a particle-free gas.
