Short description

The present guideline deals with the use of control engineering in modern VAC systems. It is presented in a task-oriented form and should help the engineer to identify suitable solutions for existing control tasks. It assumes that the reader is familiar with the basic terms and principles of control engineering. All of the installations described in this guideline are to be taken as implementations selected by way of example to help explain the corresponding open- and closed-loop control methods. Stipulations regarding the type and scope of an installation do not fall within the remit of this guideline.
